On September 5, the 2025 World Intelligent Industry Expo officially commenced at the Chongqing International Expo Center. Invited by relevant Chongqing government departments, Gaoyu—a low-altitude mobility technology enterprise incubated by GAC Group—made a grand debut showcasing its two flying car products: the AirJet composite-wing model and the AirCab multi-rotor model.

At the exhibition, Gaoyou also established a three-party strategic partnership with China Communications Construction Western Investment Co., Ltd. and Beijing Hengkuan Low-Altitude Technology Development Co., Ltd. Simultaneously, it signed a letter of intent with Hengkuan Low-Altitude for the purchase of 500 flying cars, valued at nearly 800 million yuan, drawing extensive coverage from multiple media outlets and key opinion leaders (KOLs) on-site.

Addressing transportation demands in the era of Urbanization 2.0, GAC Gaoyu leverages intelligent technology as its core strength. Backed by state-owned enterprise credibility, comprehensive commercialization capabilities, and innovative scenario planning, the company delivers efficient solutions to clients while demonstrating a “deployable and profitable” business logic to investors. This approach injects fresh momentum into the future development of the low-altitude economy.

High-Altitude Exhibition Booths Become the Focus of Low-Altitude Economy Zone

On the morning of the 5th, the N2009 booth in the North Zone of the Chongqing International Expo Center was bustling with activity. Numerous professional visitors, industry guests, and media representatives arrived early, their attention focused on the two actual flying cars displayed by Gaoyou.

In the VR experience zone, visitors don the equipment to experience the thrill of soaring skyward in an instant and surveying the landscape, getting a preview of the exhilaration of piloting a flying car through the city.

At the booth consultation area, staff addressed inquiries from visiting clients around “end-to-end ecosystem services” and “Chongqing scenario adaptation solutions.” The intensity of on-site discussions continued to rise, fully demonstrating the market attention garnered by Gaoyou Flying Cars.

Tripartite collaboration, a powerful alliance

At 2:30 PM, the signing ceremony for “Meeting at Jiangshan, Gaoyu Takes Flight” commenced as scheduled. GAC Gaoyu entered into a three-party strategic cooperation agreement with China Communications Construction Western Investment Co., Ltd. and Beijing Hengkuan Low-Altitude Technology Development Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Hengkuan Low-Altitude”). Additionally, GAC Gaoyu signed a Flying Car Procurement Agreement with Hengkuan Low-Altitude, becoming the highlight of the low-altitude economy zone at that day's Smart China Expo.

Under the strategic cooperation agreement, the three parties will engage in in-depth collaboration centered on flying car R&D synergy, infrastructure investment and construction, and operational scenario expansion. This will further accelerate Gaoyi's transition from “technological exploration” to “commercialization implementation,” laying a solid foundation for large-scale application.

As the economic hub of Southwest China, Chongqing's complex urban traffic environment poses severe challenges to traditional ground transportation systems. By creating a comprehensive mobility solution integrating “driving + cabin + connectivity,” Gaoyi's low-altitude air mobility will become a pivotal component in building a diversified transportation network, offering innovative solutions to urban congestion.

Moving forward, Gaoyi will deepen collaborations with Chongqing's government and cultural tourism enterprises to explore scenarios such as “flying cars for scenic tours” and “cross-river commuter routes,” aligning with Chongqing's low-altitude economic development needs.

Breaking Through the Full-Configuration Stalemate: Chongqing's 5D Terrain

The two flying cars showcased by Gaoyi at this exhibition each precisely address Chongqing's geographical challenges of “mountainous terrain and difficult commutes.” Leveraging their “all-terrain capability,” they cover diverse travel scenarios, making “vertical transportation” a reality rather than just a theoretical concept.

AirJet Composite-Wing Flying Car

Breaking Through the Commuting Gridlock

The AirJet composite-wing flying car breaks traditional transportation boundaries through “cross-industry integration.” Its innovative design features an 8-axis, 8-propeller configuration with dual-duct composite wings, enabling dual-mode flight capabilities: vertical takeoff and landing plus high-speed cruising. It can take off and land on rooftops or open spaces within cities without requiring runways.

Cruising speed reaches up to 250 km/h with a range of 200 km, reducing the 1.5-hour ground commute from Yuzhong District's Liberation Monument to the Baoding Mountain Scenic Area in Dazhu District to under 40 minutes—a 60% efficiency boost.

The cabin's “1+1+X” layout flexibly accommodates 2 to 4 passengers. Its pioneering “Pixel Galaxy” starlight ceiling creates an immersive experience, redefining premium travel.

AirCab Mass-Produced Multi-Rotor Flying Car

Unlocking 5D Urban Micro-Mobility

Tailored to Chongqing's topography, GOVY AirCab employs “scenario-based innovation” to address urban transportation challenges. With over 90% of its airframe constructed from carbon fiber, it can take off and land flexibly atop buildings and along riverside open spaces.

During peak hours, the ground journey from Liberation Monument to Jiangbei Airport takes one hour, while AirCab reaches the destination in just 15 minutes via its 5G autonomous driving system (500 TOPS computing power). At Wulong Scenic Area, the “270° panoramic cabin” combined with intelligent hovering technology creates a new “low-altitude tourism” experience.

Technologically, a “multi-redundant safety system” safeguards propulsion, energy, flight control, and emergency functions, ensuring safe landing even with single-system failures. AirCab has now fully entered the airworthiness certification phase, with plans to complete TC certification and commence mass production deliveries next year.

This World Intelligent Expo marks not only the Southwest debut of GAC Highway's full-configuration product lineup, but also a pivotal step in its strategy to expand into the Southwest market and advance the implementation of low-altitude economy initiatives.

In the future, as Highway flying cars traverse Chongqing's mountains, rivers, and urban landscapes, the vision of “three-dimensional transportation meeting 5D cities” will transition from the expo stage to tangible reality.
